How busy the Gardener is, and then not……wow! How do we manage our workload? Basically, we don’t! Mother Nature does and she governs what is done next…..we either take it or leave it! I think I will take it.
The garden has come into its own Summer elegance with its stunning towering Hollyhocks, Scabious and sweetly scented Sweet Peas to name but a few glorious plants.
Vines are showing potential with hoards of tiny grape formations (those wine makers will have something to look forward to soon, unless the birds get them first). I know the pigeons are partial to Sweet Peas in my garden….Answer, plant copious amounts next year.
Spray your Broad Beans now if you havent already done so and keep watering those Tomatoes. Keep mowing and Oh, wear that Sunscreen.
To all you ladies out there juggling work, children and gardens…join the club, your are not alone. Gardening is therapeutic only if you have the time. Time isn’t what us Ladies always have.
